Cheresa “Reese” LaFrances Purnell

Founder/CEO

 

Cheresa “Reese” LaFrances Purnell is a Social Entrepreneur with more than 20 years of expertise in facilitating, creating and implementing programming for organizations. She currently works as the Founder/CEO of the Black Women Professionals League (BWPL) and is the Owner/Principal Consultant at the King Maker Concierge. Ms. Purnell also serves as a Board Member for the FireHouse Community Art Center and a Steering Committee Member of the Chicago Coalition on Urban Girls.

Parris Griffin

Social Impact Coordinator

Paris Griffin is a graduate of Thee Chicago State University where she obtained a degree in communications. During her time at Chicago State she became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and a part of the inaugural class of Apple HBCU Scholars. This allowed Paris the opportunity to work for Apple upon graduation in 2017. Since then, Paris has worked for several tech companies including GitHub as a technical recruiter.

Lauren Jordan

Networking Event Coordinator

Lauren Jordan is a Chicago native. She attended DeVry University where she graduated with a BS in Computer Engineering Technology. Currently a mom of 2 girls, she works full time as a Technical Support Engineer and owns a pastry business, May Sweets.

Lauren Jackson

Sisterhood Coordinator

Lauren Michelle Jackson is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and serial entrepreneur. In 2018, she launched S.L.A.Y a non-profit organization supporting single moms, women, teen girls, and young girls. During the pandemic with the stress of being a single mom, a doctoral student, and working directly with COVID patients and patients in psychiatric crisis she found herself unable to balance. I’m Well Essentials was curated as collection of luxury products to support symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression. Now in the latter half of 2022 Live Love Life Well private practice serving the African American community with their counseling needs. You may also know her as Da Wellness Bae host of social media podcast Mommy Night Cap.
